About this project
//WHAT//“Beyond The Balkans” is a multiplatform project that will explore the struggle of young musicians in Serbia who use their talents as a means to redefine their generation. The artists we've documented have a unanimous desire: For the world to acknowledge their potential for growth, and most of all, to recognize that Serbia is good for more than making war.
Our documentary film will delve into the lives of 3 musicians; each of which experiences varying levels of success. The interview series (to be released concurrent with the film's production) will introduce viewers to experts and subjects from the film, as a preview for the final product. Finally, a photo book about Albanian refugees in Kosovo will provide a visual insight to the historical aspects of the film.
